Things to See
New Haven is a town rich in history and culture. Within Yale University itself, you’ll find an extensive collection of art and rare books as well as the Mead Visitors Center, where you can schedule guided tours of the time-honored buildings and campus. Right in the heart of the city, you can visit the Grove Cemetery, "the first chartered burial ground in the United States," and a little further out, the lighthouse at Lighthouse Park, whose story goes back to 1804. History lessons were never so interesting.
